Thinking like women isn’t overthinking; thinking like women is critical thinking.
From marking the menstrual cycle to an important business meeting on the calendar, women keep a track of everything. Who proposed first, whose birthday is when, who likes what, what goes well with that new shirt and how to subtly reject the creepy boss’s date invitations- women just know it all. From the monthly hormonal tsunamis to the brain-draining work schedules, the only thing they’re concerned about is if their eyeliner is perfectly equal on both the eyes. That’s how they balance their life too. Both a woman who follows the DINK (Dual Income, No Kids) policy and one who is planning to get a life insurance policy for her kids should be equally respected. Whatever the career path or life plan is, every woman lives her life with a distinct perspective.
People are surprised with the AI solving their problems, grammatically correcting their drafts, calculating the complex stuff and at times, being your friend helping you cope with your mental issues. We did have women doing all that already, didn’t we? Einstein's wife solved all his calculations, but where did we read about her in the mathematics textbooks? Why didn’t she think of publishing something of her own? Female colleagues in your office are equally contributing in making the revenue of your company. Why don’t they calculate the overtime they do in return of an pay parity? Why do they fake orgasms and pretend to be enjoying the time? Why do they add ten things in a cart and end up buying only two of them? A man cannot think of the answers, even when traveling to the parallel universe.
Women cover the loopholes of your giant dreams. While you are thinking big, they’re thinking far. You think of earning while they think of saving and eventually investing. While you think of the promotions, they think of getting the ten other works done which will get them an extra digit added to their bank account. While you think of bursting out, they choose patience.
Then are women not thinking big enough? Women are funny creatures. The idea has often struck their minds long before it strikes yours. They just know ten other ways of getting things done. Or probably, a so-called big thing isn’t so big for them. Yes, women do face tons of oops and ouch moments in a day. But the only time they make a deal out of it is when they react to their period cramps and hormonal imbalances. Men are the go-getters while women just have it all. Men aren’t wrong. No wonder women love them.
How to think like a woman isn’t a question. But, why to think like a woman is a necessity. To not always try to hit a six on every ball that’s thrown at you, but to be able to make a century by saving a wicket is what thinking like a woman is.
