AI is the breakthrough that the technology has seen in ages. But wait, it’s taking over our jobs! Making a grocery list, solving calculations, guiding you with the directions on the GPS, or reading a book for you, Siri just ate it all. Is it going to eat your job next.

No! We have created the AI and it can’t replace us. AI replacing the voice actors sounds as weird as robots replacing the film characters. Thus, it surely can help you but can’t replace you.

The emotions poured by a voice actor aren’t matchable by the AI tool. We, humans, are the biggest critics. We as an audience pay for the experience. AI cannot bring emotions to the project just by bending the voice into different tones and moods. The human touch to the storytelling does wonders. Voice actors bring the stories to life by applying the behavioral patterns and styles of people they have observed. AI lacks creativity and that’s the biggest loophole.

The technology can just mimic the innocence in the voice. The listener catches the text-bookish stuff, the way the camera captures the dishonesty in an anchor’s expressions.

The AI works according to the given orders. It can’t match the wavelength and spontaneity of the voice actor. Not just the flow of speech but the pauses taken by a voice actor convey the story.

Voice actors improvise their scripts according to the situations. This way they connect to a wider range of audience. AI on the other hand follows the given commands. We can’t forget it’s just the sister device of the computer which doesn’t operate on its own, without human support.

The list is unending. The dialects, emotions, experiences, and feelings that a human puts into a project are commendable. AI is the greatest help that one could have in today’s age. Optimal utilization of it can enhance human performance.
